Looking for universities acceptance rate? Well, the university acceptance rate is a parameter that tells the rate at which applicants are accepted in a given university. It is simply calculated by dividing the number of accepted students/candidates by the total number of applicants and multiply by 100.
Let us understand how the acceptance rate is calculated. For example, if university X has 200,000 applicants and accepts 8,000 students, their acceptance rate is 4%. If university Y has 50,000 applicants and also accepts 8,000 students, their acceptance rate is 16%. You can see that although both universities accept the same number of students/candidates, their acceptance rates are very different because university Y received 4 times the applicants that university X did.
