1. Select the new pull chain

You can also click the photograph and take the measurements of the old chain and show the photograph, and measurements in the store, and ask for a new chain of similar size.
2. Switch off the power supply and test
You followed the first step and purchased a new pull chain. Now it is time to replace it. For replacing the chain, switch off the power supply and make sure the power is turned off for safety.
3. Remove the fixture
Once the power is turned off, remove the bulb if you are changing the pull chain of the ceiling light fixture. Then using a screwdriver, loosen the screws and remove the fixture from the assembly.
4. Replace the pull chain
Once the power is off, discard all the accessories and covers from the assembly, including bulbs, so that you can access the fixture without any restriction.
Then remove the end cap from the fixture by turning it in an anti-clockwise direction and pulling it. Disconnect the wires of the pull chain switch and separate the switch.
5. Put all the accessories and connect wires
Now connect the new pull chain switch and put the end cap in the light fixture.
After replacing the new pull chain, reconnect all the wires carefully. Connect black wire to black wire and ground to ground. Wrap the insulation tape to the joints.
Push the wires in the fixture, attach the end cap and connect the bulbs. You are done with replacing the pull chain.
6. Connect the fixture to supply
After reconnecting all the accessories, connect the fixture to the power supply and turn it on. Test the working of the new pull chain.
