MCB trip

First, check your room MCB from the main switchboard. If it is down then this may be a reason why your ceiling fan not working. Simply switch up the MCB button. If this is good then check the next step.

Poor switch connections

Maybe your fan switch connection is loosened or burns due to overheating or shortcircuit. I will advise you to call the electrician if you have no idea how to check or make connections.

Bad ceiling fan capacitor

There may be a problem with your ceiling fan’s capacitor. If your fan capacitor is faulty then your ceiling fan will not spin. Try to replace the fan capacitor with a new one of the same rating.

Damage Motor

If all the above are not the case then your fan’s motor is damaged. Maybe its winding is burnt due to overheating or other reasons. If this is the reason ask your electrician to repair the fan motor.
